Trending Now: Elon Musk And Donald Trump Jr. Blast Mitch McConnell Over His Criticism Of January 6 Broadcast By Tucker Carlson

On Tuesday, Senate Republican Minority Leader Mitch McConnell shared his discontent with Fox News and Tucker Carlson for releasing never-before-seen video of the events of January 6th.

McConnell’s views completely coincide with those of Democratic lawmakers and Senator Chuck Schumer, who also showed his frustration with the recession on the Senate floor.

    Speaking to reporters, McConnell said:

With regard to last night’s presentation on Fox News, I want to fully associate myself with the opinion of the Chief of Capitol Police as to what happened on January 6th.

    The Democratic senator said:

My concern is how it was portrayed. Clearly the chief of the Capitol Police has, in my view, accurately described what most of us witnessed firsthand on January 6th.

    He concluded:

In my view, [for] Fox News Capital to portray this in a completely different way than our chief law enforcement officer did.

Several Twitter users expressed dismay at McConnell’s statement.

Billionaire CEO Elon Musk mocked McConnell, writing:

“I forgot which party he belongs to.”

Donald Trump Jr. also criticized McConnell as he wrote:

Don’t believe everything you see in the video. Believe the political report from the person reporting directly to Nancy Pelosi and what the mainstream media pretends is the truth of the two years. Republicans like Mitch whom the Democrats needed?

The New York Post reported on January 6 that the committee exploited muted surveillance videos by cherry-picking footage to manipulate the narrative and adding audio of screams to make them appear more dramatic.
