According to TheStreet, both Elon Musk and Donald Trump are looking to win over Republicans, and the former has become one of the most influential voices in Republican and conservative circles over the past year.

Trump had accumulated more than 88 million followers on his personal Twitter account, @RealDonaldTrump, before it was suspended following the January 2021 events at the Capitol.
