Amazon’s Project Kuiper KF-02 mission, originally set for August 7, 2025, has been rescheduled to August 8, 2025, for a SpaceX Falcon 9 launch from Cape Canaveral, Florida, due to additional vehicle checkouts ensuring safety and reliability.
The mission, critical to Amazon’s goal of deploying a 3,236-satellite LEO constellation for global broadband, will launch 24 satellites during a 25-minute window opening at 9:40 a.m. ET (13:40 UTC), with an 80% favorable weather forecast.
This second of three contracted Falcon 9 launches will bring the constellation to 102 satellites, advancing Project Kuiper’s efforts to meet the FCC’s July 2026 deadline to have half its satellites operational. A live webcast will be available via SpaceX’s X account, starting 15 minutes before liftoff.
