SpaceX and NASA are targeting no earlier than Friday, March 14, 2025, for the launch of Falcon 9’s Dragon spacecraft on its tenth operational human spaceflight mission (Crew-10) to the International Space Station (ISS).
SpaceX and NASA have planned to send a spacecraft into space, and this launch will take place from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. There’s a specific location there called Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A), and that’s where the spacecraft will lift off.
The launch is scheduled for March 13, 2025, at 7:03 PM ET. However, if for some reason the launch can’t happen on that day, they’ve set up a backup opportunity for Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 6:41 PM ET. This backup plan ensures the mission stays on track without delays.
SpaceX’s live webcast of this mission will begin approximately one hour and 20 minutes before liftoff, which you can watch on their website and on X @SpaceX, as well as on the new X TV app.
The Dragon spacecraft supporting this mission has previously flown NASA’s Crew-3, Crew-5, and Crew-7 missions to and from the space station. The Falcon 9 first stage booster, making its second flight for this mission, previously launched the SES 03b mPOWER-e mission.
When the first stage of the spacecraft separates, it will safely land at Landing Zone 1 (LZ-1) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. After that, the spacecraft’s crew, who will be at the International Space Station in orbit, will conduct new experiments and research.
This research will serve two main purposes: first, to understand how humans can travel beyond low-Earth orbit, such as to the Moon or Mars, and second, to provide benefits for people on Earth, such as new technology or knowledge.
