SpaceX has announced a Falcon 9 rocket launch scheduled for Monday, May 12, 2025, to deploy 28 Starlink satellites into low-Earth orbit from Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
The Falcon 9 rocket is scheduled to lift off at precisely 12:06 a.m. ET, initiating a critical mission to deploy 28 Starlink satellites into low-Earth orbit. Should any delays arise, SpaceX has secured backup launch windows extending until 3:57 a.m. ET, ensuring flexibility to navigate potential weather or technical challenges.
Additionally, further opportunities are available later in the day, starting at 11:32 p.m. ET, to accommodate any necessary adjustments. According SpaceX, This launch represents a remarkable milestone for the Falcon 9’s first-stage booster, marking its 28th flight.
This reusable booster has an impressive history, having previously supported high-profile missions such as the crewed Crew-3 and Crew-4 flights to the International Space Station, the CRS-22 cargo resupply mission, the Turksat 5B satellite deployment, and 16 prior Starlink missions, showcasing SpaceX’s commitment to sustainable and cost-effective space exploration.
After stage separation, the booster is planned to land on the Just Read the Instructions droneship stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.
A live webcast of the mission will begin approximately five minutes before liftoff and can be watched on SpaceX’s website, X @SpaceX, or the X TV app.
