SpaceX has revealed plans to launch a Falcon 9 rocket, carrying 24 Starlink satellites into low-Earth orbit, from Space Launch Complex 4 East (SLC-4E) at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. The mission is slated for liftoff at 9:14 a.m. PT (12:14 p.m. ET, 10:44 p.m. IST), marking another step in expanding its global high-speed internet constellation.
Backup launch opportunities extend until 1:14 p.m. PT on the same day, with additional windows available on Wednesday, May 28, starting at 9:14 a.m. PT if needed. A live webcast of the mission, starting five minutes before liftoff, will be available on SpaceX’s website, the X platform via @SpaceX, and the new X TV app.
This mission marks the 13th flight of the Falcon 9 first-stage booster, which previously supported missions like USSF-62, OneWeb Launch 20, NROL-145, and nine Starlink missions. Following stage separation, the booster will attempt to land on the Of Course I Still Love You droneship in the Pacific Ocean, highlighting SpaceX’s reusable rocket technology.
Residents of Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and Ventura counties may hear sonic booms during the launch or landing, depending on weather and atmospheric conditions.
This launch advances SpaceX’s Starlink constellation, enhancing global high-speed internet access, particularly in underserved regions, while demonstrating the company’s commitment to sustainable space exploration.
