President Donald Trump has directed Attorney General Pam Bondi to seek court approval for the immediate release of Jeffrey Epstein’s grand jury testimony, following a bombshell Wall Street Journal report alleging Trump sent a lewd birthday letter to Epstein in 2003, featuring a hand-drawn naked woman and suggestive text.
Trump, denying the letter’s authenticity as a “fake” and a “Democrat-led scam,” has threatened to sue the WSJ, News Corp, and owner Rupert Murdoch for defamation.
Bondi confirmed the Justice Department will move to unseal the testimony on July 18, though legal hurdles may delay the process.
The testimony could relate to Epstein’s 2006 Florida case or 2019 federal sex trafficking charges, fueling intense public and political scrutiny.
