Elon Musk, Bezos, Zuckerberg to Attend Trump’s Inauguration

Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Mark Zuckerberg are all set to attend President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration on Monday, as confirmed by an official involved in the planning. They will occupy a prominent spot at the ceremony, seated together on the platform alongside other notable figures, including Trump’s Cabinet nominees and elected officials.

In a post on his social media platform X, Musk expressed his honor at receiving such a prominent position during the event. Over the past year, the three tech giants have made efforts to align themselves with Trump, with Musk notably donating over $250 million to support Trump’s campaign.

Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has been a visible ally of Trump, even serving as a co-leader of a new advisory body called DOGE.

Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, recently restructured his lobbying efforts and content moderation policies to align with the incoming administration, also contributing $1 million to the inaugural fund. He is co-hosting a black-tie reception to celebrate the event, alongside Republican donor Miriam Adelson.

Bezos, the founder of Amazon, decided against endorsing any candidate during the election and instead focused on ensuring the Washington Post remained neutral. Like Musk and Zuckerberg, Bezos also donated $1 million to the Trump inauguration fund.

The combined wealth of Musk, Bezos, and Zuckerberg is staggering—$885 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. Musk holds the number one spot, followed by Bezos and Zuckerberg. Despite their vast fortunes, the three men are not strangers to political involvement, having supported both Democrats and Republicans over the years.

Their involvement with Trump could have significant implications for their businesses. Meta faces potential antitrust trials, Amazon’s role as a major federal contractor has led to tension with Trump, and SpaceX continues to benefit from federal contracts.

The tech titans, although rivals in the fields of artificial intelligence, space exploration, and social media, are also working on issues with overlapping interests, such as competition in AI, social media platforms, and advertising.

Bezos and Musk are locked in a space race, with Musk’s SpaceX leading the way while Bezos’ Blue Origin aims to catch up. Meanwhile, Zuckerberg and Musk are investing heavily in AI research, and both continue to challenge each other in the battle for dominance on social media platforms.

All three men have significant stakes in the future of Trump’s second term, particularly concerning taxes, trade, and antitrust issues that could directly impact their tech businesses.
