On August 6, 2025, Apple CEO Tim Cook joined President Donald Trump at a White House event to announce that Apple will commit an additional $100 billion in investments in the United States over the next four years, bringing the company’s total investment to $600 billion.
This commitment is part of Apple’s “American Manufacturing Program,” aimed at expanding its U.S.-based supply chain and advanced manufacturing, including the production of semiconductors, glass, and other components for Apple products.
Partnering with ten American companies, such as Corning, Coherent, and Broadcom, the initiative is expected to create over 20,000 direct jobs, with projects including a smart glass production line in Kentucky, a server manufacturing facility in Houston, and a manufacturing academy in Detroit.
